PROJECT PRINCESS INITIATIVE (PPI)

Welcomes You.

PROJECT PRINCESS INITIATIVE (PPI) Abambejja is a Christian based non-profit organization founded in 2009 by Mrs. Fiona Kiggundu and it supports, Educates and Empowers vulnerable girl children. PPI is mandated to make every girl feel she is a princess with self-esteem and to also help educate, support and empower girls become leaders for the next generation.

WHY GIRLS? Girls in Africa were always considered good for marriage and an education would not automatically be a right but a privilege. In this 21st century, we consider empowering girls as our mandate and we as an organization are doing our part on this important millennium Goal considering that the longer girls stay in school, the better the life at the grass root level with a motto EMPOWER A GIRL, EMPOWER A NATION. We pledge to do our part through all means available to us.

Face of the Year

My name is Namutebi Daisy, 25 years. Through a bushy and thorny route, I can now proudly stand as a VICTOR. Back then while in Primary 4 around 9 years, before my father passed on, he had already abandoned me with my mother since she had become pregnant at a tender age. Being a single mother without money and a sustaining job, she also abandoned me at my grandmother place. We were an extended family at grandmothers’ place who struggled for food, clothing and education. I say ‘’abandoned’’ because she never checked on me since then. But as the Bible says in Psalms 118, that, God is good and His love endures forever, it was one lucky day when PPI visited our school for an outreach, they appeared with guests from the US. Slim as I was, I had favor from Mrs. Mitchel Sanders from Florida who committed to take care of all my needs to stay in school. That marked the turning point of sorrow in my life and since then, life has never been the same. Without parents, Ms. Mitchel and Ms. Fiona have mothered me as their own and am very blessed to have gone through their hands. May God bless them. Since primary four till university, all my tuition was paid by them and now stand very proud with a diploma in Business Administration as well as a certificate in cosmetology. Am humbled to be part of Project Princess Initiative and may God bless the Director, Donors, sponsors and well-wishers.
